Joseph and Emma Smith started their young married life in a town called “Harmony.”  It’s a fitting name.  There, Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon as Emma scribed his words.  These were days of intimate inspiration. I painted and pressed their profiles here in their young and innocent love—before the effects of their work and complications of later years—facing each other in beautiful harmony.

Each image is 8x8 acrylic and linocut oil press on board (2024)
